Sports is also a way to develop important social skills, team sports offer an opportunity for social interaction. Having fun, making friends and getting exercise are just a few of the benefits. However, sports also help children learn and hone skills such as how to challenge themselves and how to cope with intense competition. Thus, sports indeed has the power to change lives.
